1. Nature of Tools: Planning Estimates Only
Every calculator, formula, and diagram on OrangeCalc is built as an estimation and planning benchmark. Tools are developed against published engineering formulas, trade standards, and physical principles — but every result still depends on the inputs you provide, nominal material tolerances, idealized geometry, and generic environmental conditions.
Professional Engineering & Certified Stamping Notice: OrangeCalc does not provide licensed Professional Engineering (PE), architectural, legal, medical, or financial advisory services. Our tools do not substitute for on-site physical measurement, professional structural load calculation, licensed engineering certification, or official municipal building inspections.
2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OrangeCalc and its founder and sole maintainer, Debjeet Bhowmik, disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or mathematical accuracy.
In no event will OrangeCalc or its developer be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any harm of any kind arising from use of, or inability to use, any calculation tool or documentation. This includes, without limitation:
- Personal injury, bodily harm, illness, or loss of life.
- Property damage, material misorders, procurement shortages, project delays, or lost revenue.
- Vehicular damage, towing instability, equipment breakdown, axle overload, or transit accidents.
- Structural, mechanical, electrical, or environmental failures resulting from unverified estimates.
- Cutting errors, fabrication flaws, or material wastage.
- Any other physical, financial, commercial, or operational harm whatsoever.
3. User Responsibility & Verification
Before acting on any result from this site, it's your responsibility to:
- Verify all input dimensions against actual physical measurements before cutting materials or purchasing supplies.
- Check vehicle door-jamb and tire placards and federal loading ratings (GVWR, GAWR, GCWR) rather than relying on published catalog estimates.
- Review manufacturer technical datasheets, safety data sheets (SDS), and warranty specifications.
- Comply with all applicable municipal, state, national, and international building, trade, and safety codes.
4. Permitted Use & Intellectual Property
OrangeCalc grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our tools for personal, educational, commercial planning, and trade estimation purposes. That license does not extend to:
- Scraping, framing, reverse-engineering, mass-extracting, or redistributing our interactive visual simulations or calculation logic as a competing web asset, without prior written permission.
- Reusing the OrangeCalc name, branding, logos, layout designs, or original technical documentation — all of which are protected under copyright and trademark law.
5. Changes to Terms
These Terms of Use may be revised at any time. Any changes will be posted directly to this page with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
